It is my FIRM belief that the entire cause of this is piracy. I believe that there are as many PC gamers as there ever was, it's just that many people steal software now. Before games are even released to the public, they are showing up on Torrent sites available for download. Believe it or not, but this has shut down companies. None of the NSD team relies on our games as the only source of income, but we are not like most. Many companies put all of their resources in one game, only to find out some beta version of the game made it to a torrent site before the release date. Many people then download this buggy version and rate the game on this. |
